Auto Shop Employee Dead After Possible Abduction In The Bronx, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a man was found dead after being possibly abducted by masked men from a business in the Bronx.

Just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, police said two men wearing masks, gloves and hoodies walked into an auto body shop on Stillwell Avenue.

They then tied up two customers and put them into the trunks of two vehicles, police said. The customers were able to free themselves, but when they got out, the suspects and a male employee were gone.

Then around 11:15 p.m., police discovered the employee's car parked on Broadway in the Fieldston neighborhood. The man was found in the back seat with a zip tie around his neck, police said. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

So far, there have been no arrests. The man's identity has not yet been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
