NYPD: Suspect Climbs Through Kitchen Window In Bronx Attempted Rape

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a suspect in connection to an attempted rape of a 20-year-old woman in the Bronx earlier this month.

According to police, the suspect used the fire escape to enter the victim's apartment through the kitchen window at a building on Taylor Avenue in Soundview on Nov. 6.

The victim says she was forced to make physical contact with the suspect before he used the fire escape to flee the scene, CBS2 reported.

The woman was taken to Jacobi Hospital for evaluation.

The NYPD describes the suspect as a 5'7" tall male, weighing around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light-colored hat and jacket, dark colored pants and black and white shoes.
