1010 WINS Morning News Anchor Brigitte Quinn Releases Debut Novel

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- 1010 WINS morning news anchor Brigitte Quinn can now add author to her list of accomplishments.

Her debut novel, "Anchored," is based on Quinn's years working in television.

"It captures the spirit of working in the news business," Quinn said.

The romantic comedy follows Barbara King, a female anchor whose dream is to become the next Barbara Walters, and what happens with the arrival of her new male co-anchor.

"Are they competitors? Are they lovers? Are they both?" 1010 WINS reporter John Montone asked.

"You have to read the book, John. You think I'm going to give it away?" Quinn responded. "Let's just say their relationship develops over the course of the book."

Quinn managed to write the book over seven years while raising her children, who never got it through their heads that mom was working.

"When you're writing, they don't think you're working," Quinn said.
