5 People Hurt After Shooting At Sweet 16 Party In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- Five people were hurt after a shooting broke out at a Sweet 16 party in Connecticut.

Shattered glass littered the Circolo Sportivo club in Bridgeport on Saturday night after investigators said a fight broke out when uninvited guests showed up and quickly escalated to gunfire.

Five people, including four teens, were hit.

One witness at the Triumphant Christian Church next door described the chaos.

"I heard all this hollering and screaming through our parking lot," witness Arthur West said. "I was in the Marine Corps, I'm a retired firefighter, you kinda know the difference between shots and firecrackers."

A semi-automatic gun was found at the scene, CBS2 reported.

Police are now combing through surveillance video as the investigation continues.

No arrests have been made.
