Boy, 17, Shot Dead In Bronx Public Housing Development

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed late Thursday afternoon in the Bronx, police said.

Police were called just after 5 p.m. to the building at 810 Astor Ave., part of the Pelham Parkway Houses public housing development.

They found Ackeem Davis, 17, at the scene with a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.

Davis, of the Astor Avenue address, was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There were no arrests late Thursday and the investigation continued.
