Boy, 13, Struck By School Safety Van In Kensington, Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 13-year-old boy was struck and wounded by school safety van in Kensington, Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon.
Around 3:15 p.m., the van struck the boy at Coney Island and Ditmas avenues in Brooklyn, police told CBS2.
The boy was taken to Kings County Hospital Center, where his condition was reported as stable, police said.
It appeared that the driver of the van was trying to avoid another vehicle, police said.
Accident investigators remained at the scene for some time after the accident.
