EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Car Jumps Curb, Strikes 2 Pedestrians In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A car hit a bus and then jumped a curb, hitting two pedestrians in Brooklyn in a wild crash that was caught on surveillance camera.

CBS2 has the exclusive video showing the moment the car came speeding onto the sidewalk around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. The car struck the two pedestrians before plowing into a storefront at 18th Avenue and 47th Street in Borough Park.

One man eventually gets up, but witnesses said the other had more serious injuries, CBS2's Diane Macedo reported.

"The person was laying on the floor and crying saying 'Help me, help me,'" one witness said.

"The front of the windshield was as if somebody flew out," another witness said.

"The car was destroyed," a crossing guard near the scene said.

Police said the car first hit an MTA bus and lost control before veering onto the sidewalk, Macedo reported.

Witness photos show the mangled car on the sidewalk then later being removed from the scene.

The victims -- both men in their 40s --were taken to Lutheran Medical Center. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police said the driver remained on the scene and for now isn't facing any charges, Macedo reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
