Boomer & Carton: Trade Deadline, Teixeira And Acting Like It's A Friday

The NBA trade deadline came and went yesterday with very little activity from the Knicks and the Nets, which pretty much marks the end of any conversation involving either of the basketball locals on the Morning Extravaganza until draft time.

Boomer and Craig got this Friday morning radio party started discussing the sad state of the activities on the hardwood after Carmelo undergoes successful surgery (which really just means he didn't die) before turning their collective attention to the New York Yankees, more specifically Mark Teixeira, who has pretty much gotten a 'pass' from fans and media alike despite very little production over the last two years.  Craig declared that this will be a pivotal season for his friend Tex, because at some point the Bombers' supporters are going to say 'enough is enough,' which was an insightful take according to Boomer.

Craigy also wondered about Joe Girardi's future if the Yanks fail to make the playoffs again -- a scenario Boomer wasn't much interested in discussing -- but not to worry because the Blonde Bomber's little buddy has 'a feeling that the Yanks are poised to have one of them years'. ..
