Thursday morning, Boomer & Craig once again found themselves in the Allstate Studio following a thrilling win courtesy of the New York Mets.

Wednesday night's victory finished off a three-game sweep of the second-place Nationals, who now trail the Amazin's by seven games in the NL East.  That seven-game margin -- combined with the manner in which Terry Collins' club has been playing -- has Craig talking rather confidently about "his/the" Mets playing baseball and October. Boomer doesn't like it one bit, considering he considers his radio partner a full-fledged Yankees fan.

Speaking of the Mets' AL counterpart, Craig's squad lost again to the Orioles, thanks in large part to some shoddy defense.  The setback keeps the Yanks 1 1/2 games behind the Blue Jays, whom the Bombers will host for a four-game set in the Bronx. That series gets underway tonight.

So we had the baseball, and the NFL gets underway for real tonight in Foxboro. The Dynamic Radio Duo was talking about it right here in New York.
