It really couldn't have ended any other way in the Bronx, as the captain that is Derek Jeter once again played the role of 'hero' for the Yankees.

Boomer's mood could be summed up this Friday morning simply by looking at his attire, as the hardened Mets fan broke out his Mickey Mantle throwback jersey (pictured) to honor the momentous occasion and admitted to being 'so pumped up with all of the positivity.'

So with an ultra-positive Blonde Bomber and Craigie all sorts of fired-up, the Allstate Studio was bursting with energy after a magical night at the Stadium.

Meantime, while the Jeter love fest was taking place in the Big Apple, Eli Manning and the New York Football Giants were taking care of business down in Washington, thumping the Redskins 45-14, improving to 2-2 in the process.
