With pitchers and catchers set to report to spring training later in the week, Boomer & Carton are liking the buzz and excitement surrounding the defending NL champion Mets.

Some fans were so excited about their Amazins' they gathered at Citi Field on Monday to see the moving trucks off, as they were packed and loaded for Port St. Lucie. Matt Harvey showed up in Florida driving a Maserati and talked about the idea of signing a contract extension.

On a bit of a sour note, Major League Baseball announced on Friday that Mets reliever Jenry Mejia earned himself a lifelong ban due to yet another PED violation.

Getting away from the diamond, the guys also discussed how Peyton Manning's name is attached to another salacious story dating back to his time at Tennessee. That and Boomer offered some solid advice to Cam Newton.
