Boomer & Carton: Saban Wins Another, NFL Suspends Burfict, Coughlin Makes The Rounds

If you're a casual college football fan, it may seem like Nick Saban wins the national championship every year. Obviously that's not true, but the coaching savant has captured four crowns over the last seven seasons.

Saban won his fifth overall on Monday night, as Alabama defeated Clemson 45-40, and in some circles he is now considered the measuring stick for all who have ever coached the college game.

On that note, Boomer & Craig got things started Tuesday morning by briefly discussing Alabama's win and the impressive collection of athleticism that was on display on both sides. They then shifted gears to professional football, as the NFL handed down a three-game suspension to Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict for his actions during Saturday night's playoff game against the Steelers.

As for the Giants, their coaching search continues. Big Blue's former leader, Tom Coughlin, has also kept busy, interviewing for the vacant head coaching position with the Eagles and scheduling a sit-down with the 49ers.
