Boomer & Carton Put Fantasy Phenom Finalists Through The Wringer

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Six passionate sports fans are hoping to land a show on WFAN radio, but the luck of the Irish will only come through for one.

The finalists for Fantasy Phenom 5 were in the house Tuesday for Boomer & Carton's St. Patrick's Day bash at Connolly's in Manhattan, ready to give their 60-second monologues and find out which WFAN host will be mentoring them leading up to the ultimate showdown in two weeks.

Brandon Contes, Marcia Herold, Neil Dwyer, Patrick McGlynn, Samuel Eliacin and Sam Mines each got a chance to chat with Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton before delivering a minute-long rant, which made for some awkward moments as Boomer & Carton demanded to know each person's favorite show on The FAN:

After being put through the wringer, the six contestants lined up to be randomly assigned a mentor who will guide them through to the finale.

Here's a look at the pairings:

Brandon Contes-Boomer Esiason

Marcia Herold-Evan Roberts

Sam Mines-Mike Francesa

There you have it. Good luck to the finalists and make sure to tune in to the Fantasy Phenom 5 finals during Francesa's show on April 1!
