Boomer & Carton: Picking Up The Pieces After Rangers' Elimination

Boomer used the platform that is the Morning Extravaganza to vent about his beloved Blueshirts Monday morning, this after the Rangers saw their season come to an unceremonious end Friday night with a deflating 2-0 loss to the Lightning in Game 7.

On the good side, after today we won't have to listen to Boomer drone on about hockey, but with that said, today proved to be a therapy session of sorts for poor Boomer, who spoke from the heart and held those who needed to be accountable.

Craig noted that it was a tough weekend overall to be a New York sports fan, as the Yankees lost three of four to the cellar-dwelling A's out in Oakland, while the Mets dropped two of three to the Marlins at home.  Bartolo Colon did stop the bleeding yesterday with his eighth win of the season and even managed to rope a stand-up double in the 4-3 victory.

So we had a former NFL MVP picking up the pieces after his favorite hockey team came up short and a couple of local baseball teams looking to get back on track as we turn the calendar to welcome in the month of June...
