The Mets got the home portion of their schedule underway Monday afternoon at Citi Field in front of a packed house, with the sun shining and Jacob deGrom (pictured giving the home crowd a tip of the cap) on the mound. Things really couldn't have been any better, aside from one beer-throwing jerk, but we'll just leave it at that.

Craig was there to soak it all in and left grinning ear to ear following a 2-0 win for the home team. Full disclosure: Craigie actually departed prior to the the final out being recorded, but admitted to actually watching some of the game while there, so that is something.

The Yankees kept the good vibrations going in the Bronx thanks to a pinch-hit grand slam in the seventh inning courtesy of Stephen Drew.  The Bombers topped Buck Showalter and the Orioles 6-5, but did lose Brett Gardner to a wrist injury.

Moving right along to the hardwood, Craig felt obligated to explain why he was wearing a Detroit Pistons sweatshirt, a wardrobe decision made following the Knicks' win over the Hawks, Derek Fisher's team's second victory in a row - which doesn't bode very well for a franchise trying to land the top draft pick in this summer's NBA draft.  So there you have it.

Not to be lost in the shuffle, today is 'Matt Harvey Day' -- which means 'Must-See Harvey' is scheduled to start tonight in Queens when the Mets take on the Phillies. Tell ya friends! Tell ya friends!
