Boomer & Carton: More Jets Moves, A Big Rangers Win And Twitter Silence

Mike Maccagnan -- aka 'Mikey Mac' -- was at it again Wednesday, adding veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to the mix, thus prompting Craig to open up Thursday's radio program by voicing his approval for the job the Jets' rookie GM has done thus far.

Predictably, Boomer was itching to talk about his Rangers - his first-place Rangers, by the way - so he did by praising the recent play of backup goalie Cam Talbot, who is playing at a level that would make any netminder take notice.  Boomer described the feeling he gets when watching Talbot in goal as 'utter amazement' -- allow that to sink in for a moment or two.

Luckily the hockey talk didn't last too long, as Darrelle Revis claims 'this is where my heart is' and Craig declares this 'the greatest offseason' in Jets' history.  It made be a little early to make such proclamations, but you get the idea of just how excited Craigie the Jets fan actually is.

In other sports news relevant to the New York sports landscape, Alex Rodriguez hit his first home run of the spring for the Yankees, although according to the Bombers' official Twitter account, the A-Bomb never happened.  Apparently MLB, not the Yanks, run the social media account, which certainly seems a little strange.

Alas, Boomer and Craig were off and running, which is always entertaining...
