MLB rules changes to be more specific, as slides will -- in theory -- be safer and the "neighborhood play" at second base will now be reviewable by replay.

Boomer & Carton discussed the altered rules to open the show, before shifting their collective focus to a story involving Carmelo Anthony and an apparent interest the Celtics had in trading for the Knicks' star prior to the NBA trade deadline.

In addition, the Mets were to have their first full-squad practice on Friday, which had the fan in Boomer and Craig all sorts of excited.
