After learning that the jersey Mike Piazza was wearing on September 21, 2001 -- when the Mets catcher blasted an unforgettable, go-ahead, two-run homer against the Braves that went a long way in helping countless people heal following the tragedies of 9/11 -- is going up for auction, Craig was not happy.

When he got the whole back story, it was then Craigie who made the decision to open up Wednesday's radio program expressing his disdain for the decision of the Mets' upper-brass to sell the iconic jersey in the first place.

So with Boomer along for the ride, it was the Mets who were on the chopping block -- and for good reason.
