Boomer & Carton: Mike Maccagnan Likes Everyone

Mike Maccagnan, the general manager of the Jets, called Boomer & Carton on Tuesday to recap the NFL Draft, and the conversation began, of course, with second-round pick Christian Hackenberg.

The guys asked Maccagnan what the Jets saw in the former Penn State quarterback and the executive reiterated that they like his upside and potential.

Maccagnan also discussed his attempts to trade down at points and revealed that the Jets had some interest Paxton Lynch and still like Bryce Petty. Maccagnan then gave an update on the Ryan Fitzpatrick and Muhammad Wilkerson contract negotiations.

Finally, Maccagnan touched on the Laremy Tunsil situation and provided some insight on the Jets' first-round pick, Darron Lee.

The bottom line with Maccagnan? He likes Hackenberg. And Fitzpatrick. And Geno Smith. And Petty. And just about everyone else the guys named.
