Boomer & Carton: Mets Break Character And Score Some Runs; Yanks Stick To The Script

The Mets did their thing Tuesday night in our nation's capital against the first-place Nationals.  Actually, the seven runs the Amazin's managed was a little out of character, if you will, but either way it was Terry Collins' bunch that had the Dynamic Radio Duo talking early on. The Mets' skipper displayed his decision-making ability in the 7-2 triumph and Jacob deGrom registered his 10th win of the season.

Meanwhile, while the Mets were breaking the mold, the Yanks were just staying on course. They beat the Orioles, 3-2, in yet another victory which can be attributed to their dominant bullpen. It's "the best bullpen in baseball," according to one Craig Carton.  Craigie is so confident in the Yanks' bullpen that he went ahead and guaranteed they will win another division title.

All of that, a sad song, Boomer expresses concern for Craig's ever-expanding waistline and more.
