Jerry Recco entered the Allstate Studio bearing both good and bad news, along with a professionalism matched by few others.

Jerry began with the red-hot Mets, who thanks to a 7-1 win over the Braves, have now won nine -- count 'em, nine! -- in a row and have raced out to an impressive 11-3 start, the best record in baseball.

The Yankees were in Detroit taking care of business against the Tigers, winning 5-2, earning Nathan 'Evo' Eovaldi his first win as a Yankee.  We also learned that Rachel Ray refers to extra-virgin olive oil as 'evo' -- so there's that as well.

Plus, the Islanders fall 2-1 in OT to the Capitals and now find themselves knotted in a 2-2 tie in the series, a busy night in both the NHL and NBA playoffs, Phil Jackson can be heard talking about a reputation he hopes will lure free agents to the Big Apple and not winning a championship, Craig in-turn encourages James Dolan to fire Jackson, the NFL schedule is released and Boomer and Craig offer up a couple of gambling tips: Lock up the Jets over the Browns and take the over in the Giants-Cowboys in Week 1. How 'bout that?!
