Jerry Recco was hard at work Monday morning, delivering his informative and entertaining update, which began with the Yankees following their 2-1 win over "King Felix" and the Mariners.

Mark Teixeria came up big with two outs in the eighth and Craig is beginning to tout the Yankees' first baseman as the Comeback Player of the Year, if not MVP, assuming he knocks in 140 runs, that is.  For his efforts, Tex was a guest of Suzyn Waldman after the game. CC Sabathia didn't factor into the decision, but did put together another solid outing.  Prior to the game, the Yanks demoted second baseman Rob Refsynder to make room for Carlos Beltran.

After Boomer compared Lucas Duda to Jason Bay, he took Craig to task for being too negative, going on to compare his radio partner to Donald Trump.

Jerry Recco followed up that exchange with a recap of the Mets' 18-inning affair in St. Louis, which concluded with a 3-1 win for Terry Collins' ball club.  WFAN's own Ed Coleman used his time with the Mets skipper wisely, and that fact did not go unnoticed.

Plus, Al gets a little tongue-tied and Boomer defends his behavior...
