Jerry Recco is 40 now and he uncorked a little madness up in the Allstate Studio when he was called upon to deliver an update early Thursday morning, so thoughts of the update maven being over the update hill were clearly premature.

It began with the Knicks' seventh-straight victory, a 92-86 win over the Pacers in a game that was highlighted by new team president Phil Jackson's introduction to the home crowd.  Afterwards Carmelo Anthony mentioned the simple concept of passing the basketball to the open man, clearly the 'Zen Master' has already begun.

Plus, don't look now but the Nets have won 10 straight in Brooklyn after last night's 104-99 win over the Bobcats, Ma-Ma-March Madness, some famed Cal Poly alumni, Reds' fireballer Aroldis Chaoman takes a line drive off his face, Yanks/Mets news and notes, Willie Colon re-signs with the Jets, Michael Vick to visit with Gang Green and Craig does some chanting with John Idzik on his mind...
