It made no difference to Jerry Recco that Boomer was out today, as his job is to deliver informative and entertaining updates when he is called upon.  So with actor-comedian-writer Robert Wuhl sitting in for the Booms, Jerry got busy updating his face off.

It started with the Yankees and their 4-1 win over the Red Sox Thursday night in the Bronx, which was hijacked by the speculation that starter Michael Pineda was using a foreign substance assumed to be pine tar while on the mound.
