When Friday rolls around and you need to know what is going on in the sports world, there is really only one person in which to turn.

The update maven that is Jerry Recco.

Jerry started with a thorough preview of the Mets-Dodgers NLDS tussle, which gets underway Friday night in Los Angeles, and then went on to report on Thursday's playoff action on the diamond.

Jerry also mentioned NFL Week 5 kicking off Thursday night in Houston with Matt Hasselbeck leading the Colts to a 27-20 win over the Texans. In addition, we learned that Victor Cruz will not be in action Sunday night when the Giants host the 49ers.
