With Jerry Recco gallivanting across the country with the Columbia Lions men's basketball team as they prepare to take on the Kentucky Wildcats, Chris Lopresti was saddled with the duty of filling for the update maven -- and he answered the bell.

Our guy C-Lo got started with the Knicks, who - despite what team president Phil Jackson says - can't seem to get out of their own way as they lost in New Orleans to the Pelicans 104-93, dropping them to a pitiful 4-19.  Derek Fisher proclaimed his team will keep fighting until they get to the top, Carmelo Anthony never could have imagined a start like this and Amar'e Stoudemire cited the need for a lion's heart.

Meantime in Brooklyn word is Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez are all on the trading block.  Make of that what you will, but Craig isn't buying it.
