After Craig serenaded us with some "desperation" singing, Jerry Recco sounded far from desperate as the update maven confidently delivered the goods. He began with the latest from the Jets after John Idzik's "spending spree" continued with a four-year extension for Jeremy Kerley. Jerry provided the details.

Plus, Odell Beckham Jr. gets a status upgrade and is on a "full load," according to Giants wide-receivers coach Sean Ryan. Also, Tom Coughlin shows little patience for sleepy reporters, NFL news and notes, Boomer does some mocking of his radio partner and Ray Rice plans to file a grievance against the Ravens -- that prompted Boomer to explain why he should not.

The Giants strike first in KC -- beating the Royals, 7-1, to take Game 1 of the World Series -- the Rangers beat the Devils and the Isles lose.
