Boomer & Carton: Harvey Taking The Hill, Craig Distances Himself; Fillin' Up Your Friday

There was a noticeable energy in the Allstate Studio Friday morning as Boomer and Craig were both beside themselves with excitement because Matt Harvey will be making his first start in 18 months later today down in Port St. Lucie.

Boomer's excitement was certainly genuine.  He could be heard touting Harvey as the organization's potential backbone for the next 10 years. As for his little buddy Craigie, let's just say 'whatever way the wind blows' and leave it at that.  Boomer did his best to combat his radio partner's less-than-subtle attempts to manufacture some controversy between Mets and Yankees fans by pitting the aforementioned Mets' top gun Harvey against Yanks ace Masahiro Tanaka. Oh those tangled webs he weaves.

From there the show took a turn after Boomer called his BFF out for leaving a mandatory training session Thursday afternoon a little early, after arriving a little late.  This didn't sit well with the Booms, who was there along with the rest of us, for the entire 90 minutes.  After processing the fact that Boomer even brought it up, Craig blamed his apparent juice diet but it didn't sound like the Blonde Bomber was buying it...
