Boomer & Carton: Girardi, Cashman, A-Rod — Oh, Who Cares?!

It seems the Yankees brass isn't exactly on the same page when it comes to the role Alex Rodriguez will play for the Bombers upon anticipated his return to the pinstripes.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi is all sorts of excited about A-Rod's return, while general manager Brian Cashman doesn't exactly share in his skipper's titillation.

In an attempt to sell papers, the New York Daily News used this story to tag Girardi as "clueless," which certainly rubbed Boomer and Craig the wrong way.

So to get things started today, the Dynamic Radio Duo felt the need to come to the defense of one Girardi in what is really just a "manufactured and stupid story."

Then it was on to the Giants, who have statistically the worst defense in the NFL, and the Mets, who are suddenly a "win-now team" with playoff aspirations.

Some sad news as rapper Big Bank Hank, member of the Sugar Hill Gang, passed away Tuesday at the age of 57...
