Boomer & Carton: Gary Payton Talks Basketball And Has Some Laughs

Basketball Hall of Famer Gary Payton was making the rounds Thursday morning and made it a point to stop into the Allstate Studio for a visit with the Dynamic Radio Duo that is Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton.

After absorbing Craig's introduction, Payton offered up his thoughts on the 4-20 Knicks and their struggles grasping the offensive strategy known as the triangle, which according to Payton, requires time and patience to learn.

Payton talked about his hard-nosed upbringing, his strong relationship with his father, raising a son of his own and the importance of hard work.

Ironically, the man known as 'The Glove' actually lost his glove on the way into the building.

We heard about Payton's penchant for trash talking, playing against the likes of Michael Jordan and John Stockton, the 1992 Dream Team's greatness and of course what the 6-foot, 180-pounder (playing weight) is benchin' these days...
