Alex Rodriguez showed up in Tampa for Yankees spring training Monday, reporting a couple of days early and looking to resume his baseball career after serving a yearlong suspension.

Those who care might take this as a good sign, assuming Rodriguez is just itching to get back out there, but word is Yanks brass aren't thinking in that manner.

Boomer and Craig got this Tuesday morning radio party started with the latest hoopla surrounding A-Rod, as Craig felt compelled to defend the embattled slugger, while Boomer made it clear that he cares very little about all that is going on with Rodriguez because his focus is on the Mets.

Speaking of the Mets, the players had some T-shirts left in their lockers down in Port St. Lucie and no one is really sure what to make of the messages on them, including Daniel Murphy.

Rounding things out, Boomer and Craigie found themselves at odds over whether or not the game of baseball needs to be sped up, as new Commissioner Rob Manfred indicates some changes might be a good thing...
