Craigie went on to conclude that Mets fans are with him in their displeasure with the news that Collins will be back on the bench, while Boomer is still confident that next year will be a special one for the Amazin's.
As for the Yanks, they blew it Wednesday night up in Baltimore, falling 5-3 to Buck Showalter and the Orioles, putting them eight games behind the O's for first place in the AL East.
