Boomer & Carton: CC Shines, Missing The Mets And A Softball Game In New Rochelle

CC Sabathia commanded respect on the mound Thursday in the Bronx, and certainly earned it on a night that the Yankees' offense was once again stymied by Red Sox pitching.

The "hefty lefty" didn't factor into the decision, but due in large part to his performance, the result was a 2-1 Bombers win. Boomer & Craig both enjoyed watching CC do his thing, so they opened up today's show talking about it.

Next up for the Yanks, they will welcome the red-hot, revamped Toronto Blue Jays to Yankee Stadium for a three-game set.

As for the Mets, they had the night off and Boomer found himself missing his Amazin's, which is a feeling somewhat unfamiliar to him.  Tonight it will be Jacob deGrom on the hill for the Mets when they take on the Rays down in St Petersburg.

Additionally, we heard about former Giants offensive lineman Shaun O'Hara calling out Big Blue's current O-line, and a less-than-flattering account of last night's softball game in New Rochelle.
