Boomer & Carton: A Thursday Without The Booms Brought Mr. Chris Simms To Town

With Boomer out in Ohio shooting clay pigeons, Craig welcomed Mr. Chris Simms into the Allstate Studio Thursday morning for four hours of fun.

Together Craig and Simms got the ball rolling by talking about the struggling New York Mets, who lost to the Giants 8-5 on a night when their "ace" Matt Harvey was on the hill.  Harvey got smacked around pretty good, yielding seven runs (all earned) in his six innings of work, further strengthening Craig's argument that the Mets just aren't that good.

With the loss, the Mets fell out of first place, thanks in part to the Yankees' inability to get it done in the Bronx against the Nationals.  The Nats downed the Bombers 5-4 in 11 innings, snapping the Yanks' seven-game winning streak in the process.

All of that combined with LeBron James' motivation as Game 4 of the NBA Finals fast approaches made for a solid show open that I believe would make the Booms very proud.
