NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A gas-fed fire burned for hours in Brooklyn on Tuesday, injuring two workers.

The fire started at a gas main on Bay Ridge Parkway and 19th Avenue in Bensonhurst around 10 a.m.

About 25 National Grid customers in the area lost service.

Two utility workers on the scene were taken to the hospital with burns.

The investigation continues.
