Partial Lunar Eclipse Starts Early Friday Morning

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A partial lunar eclipse will take place early Friday morning.

A full moon called the "beaver moon" could be seen Thursday night.

It's the start of a partial lunar eclipse that's caused when the moon passes into the Earth's shadow. It will be the longest partial lunar eclipse in 580 years.

If you want to watch, the eclipse starts around 1 a.m. Friday.
