Bayonne, N.J., Man Dead After Motorcycle Crash

BAYONNE, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that killed a man overnight Saturday.

Bayonne Police Lt. Robert Ryan says 43-year-old Dimitrios Frangakis, of Bayonne, died at 12:40 a.m. after Jersey City Medical Center.

Ryan says police believe the accident was the result of a hit-and-run and that they are interviewing a possible suspect.

Police found Frangakis at 11:35 p.m. Friday on Route 440 at Goldsborough Road after a person called police to report a man lying on the road near his motorcycle.

No arrest has been made and an investigation is under way.
