Holy History, Batman! 1960s Batmobile Headed To NYC Exhibition

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The Batmobile is coming to Gotham.

One of the three cars made for the "Batman" television series that first aired in the 1960s is expected to arrive at the New-York Historical Society in the early-morning hours on Monday. It's going to be installed in the lobby for an exhibition called "Superheroes in Gotham."

The show looks at the history of comic books as well as the role New York City has played in them.

The exhibition opens Friday.

The New-York Historical Society is located at 170 Central Park West.
