Police: Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run In Bath Beach, Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Wednesday evening for a driver who struck and killed a woman, and fled the scene afterward, in Bath Beach, Brooklyn.

The NYPD was called to the junction of Cropsey Avenue and Bay 35th Street in Brooklyn around 7:15 p.m. after the woman was struck, police said.

The driver fled the scene after striking the woman, police said. Police told CBS2 they were searching for a black Nissan with front end damage.

The woman was taken to NYU Lutheran Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The woman's name had not been released late Wednesday.
