WATCH: Bartolo Colon's Home Run Mashed-Up With Scene From 'The Natural'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Bartolo Colon's first career home run could have been a scene from "The Natural."

And thanks to a creative YouTube user Mark Evans, it now is and it is simply glorious.

Evans (@MarkEvansNY on Twitter) posted a mashup of the Mets pitcher's home run with the scene from "The Natural" when Roy Hobbs heroically knocks one out of the park.

Colon, who has become a cult figure among Mets fans, nearly broke the Internet with his two-run shot off San Diego's James Shields.

Mets play-by-play announcer Gary Cohen lost it on-air.

Colon made history with that shot becoming the oldest player to hit his first career bomb.
