Backhoe Overturns, Leans On Building In Bedford-Stuyvesant

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It was a scary few moments in Bedford-Stuyvesant after a piece of construction equipment overturned Friday.

At around 2 p.m., a backhoe climbed the rubble of a building being demolished at 720 Monroe Street, lost its footing and rolled to the left settling against a building, CBS 2's Joe Biermann reported.

The building was occupied but has been evacuated by the fire department, Biermann reported.

No injuries were reported.

Officials are trying to figure out how to remove the backhoe from the rubble.
