'Avocado Hand' Warning: Doctors Demand Warning Labels On Avocados After Spike In Slicing Injuries

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Warning labels could soon be on avocados.

Doctors in the U.K. have reportedly seen such a spike in slicing injuries, it's now a condition called "avocado hand."

In fact, doctors in London say they treat more people for "avocado hand" on Saturdays, post-brunch time.

A British surgeons association is demanding a warning label that shows how to properly cut and remove the pit of the popular Caribbean and Mexican fruit.
