8/2 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

What an incredible weekend we've had so far with regards to sunshine, warmth and low humidity! That winning combo will continue today with abundant sun, highs in the mid/upper 80s and comfortably dry air. Heading to the beach? You'll be in perfect shape! Just pack sunscreen because those rays will be packin' a punch -- burns likely within 20 minutes.

Then things change for the next week ... hot and more humid tomorrow with a high of 91 degrees in NYC along with higher relative humidity will make it feel closer to 95 degrees. There's a chance for a few evening showers/rumbles but those should stay north/west of NYC. Tuesday will be a similar day, albeit a few degrees cooler. Still a chance for a few showers as a front slows its roll through the area.

Temps cool down to end the week, and we'll actually be in the upper 70s/low 80s to finish out the week...We should be at 84 this time of year. Looks like a mix of sun and clouds prevails Wednesday through Friday with some storms on Thursday.
