Man Wanted For Attempting To Strangle Woman In Park Slope

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City police are looking for a man accused of attempting to strangle a woman in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn Tuesday.

The 26-year-old victim was walking in front of 233 16 Street around 6:10 a.m. when she says the suspect approached her, grabbed her by the throat and started to strangle her. The woman was able to scream, scaring the suspect away.

The woman received injuries to her neck, but refused medical attention on scene.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early twenties, 5'11" weighing 160 pounds.
