32-Year-Old Man Arrested For Attempted Rape In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- Police have arrested a man in connection with an attempted rape in Brooklyn.

Rayshawn Long, 32, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with rape, robbery, criminal sex acts, sex abuse and criminal possession of a weapon Friday.

The attempted rape happened just before 6 a.m. August 21 on Louis Place.

Police said Long ran past a 24-year-old woman and then turned towards her with knife and told her to follow him. He took her to an alley way where he pulled down her pants and licked her, police said. He the groped her, took her cell phone and fled, police said.
