At Least 12 Hurt When NJ TRANSIT Buses Crash In Secaucus

SECAUCUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - Several commuters were injured after two NJ TRANSIT buses crashed Monday morning.

Chopper 2 was over the scene on Route 495 East in Secaucus.

NJ TRANSIT says the 139 bus from Lakewood struck the rear of the 113 bus from Dunellen around 7:30 a.m.

Traffic was backed up for miles.

At least 12 people were hurt but are expected to be OK.

New Jersey State Police is now investigating what caused the crash.
