Asbury Park Pizza Place Celebrates Owners' Wedding With Limited-Time Mexican Menu
ASBURY PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Jersey shore pizza place is serving up tropical drinks and frying up fresh tortillas in the kitchen, but for a limited time only.
Talula's on Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park is ditching its bread and pizza, transforming into a little taste of Mexico, Chef Laura Brahn said.
For the next four days, you can get everything from whole roasted fish to fresh ceviche to empanadas.
The Mexican-inspired menu is part of what they are calling "The Honeymoon Pop-Up" to celebrate the restaurant's owners, who are on their honeymoon in Tulum, Mexico.
"The local community has been coming in and cheers-ing their wedding and enjoying the whole ambiance," Brahn said.
The restaurant will go back to normal on Monday.
