As Hermine Churns, Not All Smooth Sailing For 'Anthem Of The Seas' Passengers

BAYONNE, N.J. (CBSNewYork)-- Some passengers were reportedly feeling a bit sick to their stomachs as the Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas sailed through rough seas amid Tropical Storm Hermine.

The cruise, which departed from Bayonne, New Jersey on Saturday on its way to Bermuda, seemed to experience some choppy conditions, according to social media.

CBS2 reached out to some of the passengers who said it's been a bit rough, but nothing too severe. One said the captain has been great about informing passengers what their plans are and what to expect. All passengers were told about the storm prior to departure, the passenger said.

"We are sailing safely to Bermuda in winds of 34 knots at a distance of more than 140 miles from the storm center. Earlier today, our captain informed guests that we had experienced higher winds and gusts for a 2-3 hour period. We'll continue to share weather information with our guests throughout their trip," Royal Caribbean said in a statement.
