Suspect Arrested After Body Found In Barnegat Light, New Jersey Home

BARNEGAT LIGHT, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police have made an arrest in the death of a man whose body was found in his New Jersey home this week.

Conrad Sipa, 52, faces murder and weapons charges in the death of Richard Doody Jr.

Doody's body was discovered on Monday inside his Barnegat Light home after a family member reported to police that they couldn't contact him.

According to the autopsy, the 60-year-old suffered blunt force trauma to his head and slash wounds to his neck. His death was ruled a homicide.

Sipa, of Colts Neck, could face a life sentence if convicted on the murder charge. Ocean County prosecutors said his bail was set at $1 million.

A motive for the attack remains under investigation.
