Ariana Grande To Headline NBA All-Star Game Halftime Show

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Super Bowl isn't the only event next month with a big-time halftime performer.

The NBA announced on Thursday that pop star Ariana Grande will be headlining at the midpoint of the All-Star Game on Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden.

The 21-year-old "Bang Bang" singer received two Grammy nominations last month for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Her halftime show will come two weeks after Katy Perry's Super Bowl spectacle.

The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets are co-hosting All-Star weekend, with skills events scheduled to take place Friday and Saturday (Feb. 13-14) at Barclays Center.

It'll be the fifth All-Star Game in New York City.
